FASTINOV AST
Ultra-rapid phenotypic antimicrobial susceptibility testing
FASTINOV AST uses flow cytometry to measure early microbial responses following antibiotic exposure, enabling phenotypic susceptibility results directly from positive blood cultures.
Dedicated AST kits are available for Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, with cytometry data automatically interpreted by FASTINOV's bioFAST software as part of the testing workflow.

The system
From microbial response to susceptibility report
FASTINOV combines antimicrobial exposure, fluorescent detection, flow cytometry and automated data interpretation in one phenotypic AST workflow.
FASTINOV AST panels contain selected antibiotics together with proprietary fluorescent probes. Following antimicrobial exposure, flow cytometry measures changes in microbial cells.
The resulting cytometry data are automatically processed by bioFAST, FASTINOV's proprietary software, which generates the susceptibility interpretation according to the selected EUCAST or CLSI framework.
Automatically processes flow-cytometry data and generates the antimicrobial susceptibility report.
Gram-positive AST
FASTgrampos
Phenotypic AST for Staphylococcus and Enterococcus spp.
FASTgrampos is designed for antimicrobial susceptibility testing of Gram-positive bacteria, including Staphylococcus and Enterococcus species.
The panel reports susceptibility results across a targeted group of clinically relevant antibiotics and includes vancomycin MIC determination for Staphylococcus aureus.

Gram-negative AST
FASTgramneg
Phenotypic AST for major Gram-negative pathogen groups.
FASTgramneg provides antimicrobial susceptibility testing for major Gram-negative organisms including Enterobacterales, Pseudomonas spp. and Acinetobacter spp.
The panel covers a broad antibiotic set and also provides information related to important antimicrobial-resistance mechanisms.

Colistin
FASTcolistin MIC
Phenotypic susceptibility testing with colistin MIC determination.
FASTcolistin MIC uses multiple colistin concentrations to determine a colistin minimum inhibitory concentration for Gram-negative bacteria.
The kit is intended for relevant organisms within Enterobacterales, Pseudomonas and Acinetobacter.
